What does it mean to WALK in power? Does that mean we need to be bossing others around, acting like we’re more powerful than them? NO! Does that mean we need a high end paying job that determines we are powerful? NO! Does that mean we need to be famous and stand on a platform to be powerful? NO! It simply means to allow the manifest power of God to be seen in and through you.
4 Ways to Walk in God’s Power:
-
Knowing your True Identity
Your true identity in Christ Jesus is what enables you to walk in God’s power unquestionably. When you understand that your identity is NOT defined by your name, job/role or relationships then your true identity begins to be revealed. Your true identity is resembling God the Father, meaning to walk according to what His word says. -
Perhaps your identity is blurred by labels others may have given you. For instance, “Look at that dumb girl.” Negative labels can overshadow your identity in Christ if you choose to accept it. When you believe what God says about you (you’re blessed & highly favored, the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, more than a conqueror) over what others may label you as, then you walk in power.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:27 KJV).

Live In Accordance with God’s word
God’s word gives you power to live an undefeated life. When you study, declare and apply the scriptures to your life, it brings about change, transformation and new understandings about yourself. Living a life following God’s commandments gives you power over Satan’s Kingdom, therefore, you are walking in power.
“For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12 KJV).

Allowing the Holy Spirit to Lead You
Possessing the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit upon salvation is what makes you walk in power. The Holy Spirit has many functions; he teaches, guides, equips and empowers the believers of Christ. Many people define themselves as Christians, yet, deny the power of the Holy Spirit. More often than not, the Holy Spirit is overlooked because he cannot be seen in human form.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8 KJV).

Fulfilling Your God’s Given Purpose
God has placed you on this earth not to take up space or be unproductive, but to share the gospel, display his love in all forms, to teach, preach, evangelize, and so much more. Many say, “I don’t know what my purpose is” or “I can’t fulfill God’s purpose it’s too big.” Well, that’s why he placed that call upon your life, so that you can become dependent on him to bring it fulfillment. When you walk in your purpose, you are walking in power. Satan doesn’t want you to do the things of God, but when you branch out, he becomes powerless and your power then arises.
“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10: 7 & 8 KJV).
